Fun With Candice Andrew Hilary & Co.

Had a faaab night on Tuesday. Originally-originally, my plans were to sit at home and do nothing. Maybe this is sad, but going out ANYWHERE, even doing nothing, would amuse me. Or at least be better than doing nothing. But Candice, my super awesome pally, saved me from my sad boredom and drove me out to see a movie with her friends from Carleton. That was the original plan, different than the original-original plan, which was to do nothing. But instead, somehow we ended up at O'Connor's Irish Pub in Kanata (for those of you Ottawans who know where that is..)(which is almost on the other end of town).

What is greeeattt about O'Connor's is that:
a.) They call their appetizers "Nibblies"
b.) Their appetizers are amazing
c.) "Appy Hour" is on Tuesdays at 9pm where appetizers are $2.50 with a drink. And it's called "Appy Hour".

After a good night of laughs, Hilary's intense rave about the NHL (as the game was on), and Andrew and Abdullah's borderline duet-ing A.K.A. bursting out into random song, Candice and I go to Tim Horton's, surprise surprise (Candice is a coffee addict and deep down she knows it). The relatively cute guy working at Timmy's, I'm pretty sure, was checking me out the whole time I was there. Which amused me greatly.

We decide to meet up again at Exchange pub tonight at the Rideau Centre. Mojitos were quite tasty but nothing compares to the Cara-Silk Cocktail (Caramel Bailey's with coffee and choco milk HEAVENNN). I can't even begin to describe the amusosity of tonight, mainly involving Andrew's hilarity. He is said to be one of the few people to go to a pub & get cut off without even drinking anything. Candice and Hilary - You know what I am talking about. :)

Oh and CAN NOT finish this post without explaining our run in with some random dude who wore a cowboy hat to rideau coincidentally as Andrew wore one too as a joke and he tried to hang out with the random dude with the hat. You had to be there. (Please refer to photographs).

T'was a good week. All in all, bottom line, I must say that I love the spontaneity of the summer, the summer sun, and the crispness of the summer air at night. I am looking so very much forward to this summer, as you can tell, and hope that you all are too.

Cheers to you and cheers to summer,
SL.

WE SHARE THINGS WE LIKE AND WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT.

A friend linked me to this website called Yay!everyday that is absolutely amazing. Their aim is to share with the world a collection of art by various artists, updated everyday, that is visually and intellectually invigorating.

Pleassee take a look! Media ranges from graphics, photography, sketches, concept art, animations, to videography.

Here are some of my favourite pieces, by various artists, so far. Please note I do not take credit for these pieces.

Cheers,
SL.

A New Start

[I thought this was a summer-y photograph :) ]

A new start of a new blog. I've never really been into writing blogs myself, or perhaps I am just not committed to updating them often. But - It's the summertime now. Less cares in the world, also known as school, more time on my hands, and more Little Things to do and write about.

Life, Love and the Little Things. It's broad and general, no? Well, this blog is not very specific or theme-oriented. So expect randoms. But obviously, I plan to document happenings in my life, things I love, and random things that will hopefully enlighten us or stimulate our craniums.

For those who care even slightly to read a little about what's happening with me or maybe looking for an interesting read: here's to you and to the summer.

Sam Lai.
